ENHANCE THE SELF HEALING EFFECTS OF TRIGGER POINT 2
An alternative self healing modality brought to focus by a combination of traditional Indian, Chinese, Thai and Japanese practices, you will learn to apply physical pressure to specific points in your body with the objective of releasing tension (blockages) and promoting energy flow throughout the body.
If you are interested in understanding and applying these techniques yourself, we currently offer our Yoga Trigger Point Course in 2 parts (please take note that both parts are compulsory modules in Diploma in Yoga Therapy; credits gained can be used to offset)
In Part 2 of our Trigger Point Course (a continuation from Part 1), the focus goes beyond the neck, shoulder, back and knee - we will cover chronic pain issues. The source / origin (eg. head, stomach) and to the end points of the tension (e.g. hands, feet) will be discussed, allowing for increased awareness and understanding of the areas of tension and stress in your body. This can help to offer a more targeted focus and better application of the Trigger Point techniques, and further equip you with the basic knowledge and techniques needed to start a personal self-care practice / routine. As with everything, consistency is key to getting improved results. With regular, targeted Trigger Point massages to these energetic points, your overall health can be improved - when the body is happy and healthy, your mind will naturally follow suit.
This course is suitable for anyone looking to heal themselves, and to help others. Part 1 and Part II are part of Yoga Therapeutics.
Yogapoint Singapore also conducts regular trigger point classes for neck, shoulder and back pain, as well as one-to-one personal therapy / yoga wellness sessions, should you be interested in trying out.
*A Trigger Point 2 Course Certification will be awarded upon completion
